Will President Obama End UFO Secrecy?

When Jimmy Carter was elected in 1976, he promised that he would see the public learned the truth about UFOs. He was convinced he had seen an unidentified flying object, but never confirmed whether he thought it was an alien spacecraft.

UFOlogists call the particular sighting “The Jimmy Carter UFO incident.” It happened one evening in 1969, two years before he became the governor of Georgia. The object was reported to be 30 degrees above the horizon and Carter described it as being “bright white” and being as bright as the moon. It was said to have appeared to have closed in on where he was standing but to have stopped beyond a stand of pine trees some distance from him. The object is then said to have changed color, first to blue, then to red, then back to white, before appearing to recede into the distance.

One of the things President Obama did on Day One is open up the Freedom of Information Act. He reversed Ashcroft’s restrictions on Freedom of Information Act requests as well as changes to the Presidential Records Act, and adopted general principles on transparency and open government. According to Obama’s memo, presented by the Electronic Frontier Foundation: “All agencies should adopt a presumption in favor of disclosure, in order to renew their commitment to the principles embodied in FOIA, and to usher in a new era of open Government. The presumption of disclosure should be applied to all decisions involving FOIA.”

This week Fate Magazine, a magazine that has been around since the 1940s and reports on true incidents of UFO events and other areas of the paranormal, released the following press release.

In one of his first official acts as president, Barack Obama issued a memorandum that could lead to the disclosure of previously unknown UFO secrets.

“For a long time now there’s been too much secrecy in this city,” said Obama. “The old rules said that if there was a defensible argument for not disclosing something to the American people, then it should not be disclosed. That era is now over. Starting today, every agency and department should know that this administration stands on the side not of those who seek to withhold information, but those who seek to make it known.”

Obama’s memorandum directs US government agencies to respond favorably to Freedom of Information Act requests unless there are compelling reasons not to. This could be of great assistance to journalists and citizen researchers, including those investigating the government’s involvement in the UFO phenomenon.

Whether Obama plans a proactive release of UFO secrets is unknown, but there is citizen pressure on him to do so, as reflected in comments made to his transition team’s website. Comments promoting UFO disclosure finished among the top 100 submissions posted to the Citizen’s Briefing Book at Change.gov, which no longer exists it is now the WhiteHouse.gov

In an “unofficial poll” conducted by Billy Booth’s “Guide to UFOs” he says that In an interview with the late Tim Russert, Obama once remarked that he was more interested in the plight of everyday Americans than aliens. That is understandable, considering the economic and social problems we are experiencing at this time. However, that does not necessarily mean he won’t try to release information on UFOs, as long as there is a concerted effort among Americans to make their desires known.

Ufologist are hopeful mainly because with the Freedom of Information Act being more open to the public than in the past 8 years and because of the President’s insistence to have government transparency, then this could be the time when everyone finally learns the TRUTH about UFOs. The truth is out there.

A: The Urantia Book does not really talk about “black holes,” as such;
instead, they talk about the “dark islands of space,” as in this quote:

The Dark Islands of
Space. These are the dead suns and other large
aggregations of matter devoid of light and heat. The dark islands are
sometimes enormous in mass and exert a powerful influence in universe
equilibrium and energy manipulation. The density of some of
these large masses is well-nigh unbelievable. And this great
concentration of mass enables these dark islands to function as
powerful balance wheels, holding large neighboring systems in effective
leash. They hold the gravity balance of power in many constellations;
many physical systems which would otherwise speedily dive to
destruction in near-by suns are held securely in the gravity grasp of
these guardian dark islands. It is because of this function that we can
locate them accurately. We have measured the gravity pull of the
luminous bodies, and we can therefore calculate the exact size and

As you can see, these dark islands “exert a powerful influence in
universe
equilibrium and energy manipulation.” They function as
“powerful balance wheels” as well. They hold whole systems in place.

I am not sure if all Urantia Book students accept that black holes and
the dark islands of space are one and the same, but it seems to me that
they likely are. When they were first discovered, it seemed to science
that they were exclusively destructive, but as more research has been
done, many scientists now believe that they can not only destroy, but
that they are also energy generators and regulators. I guess you’ll
have to make up
your own mind about that…

As for “dark matter…” I don’t find that word phrase in the book at
all, but when I think about dark matter, I think about all of those
worlds that we cannot see – such as architectural worlds, and the
planets that do not emit reflective light from a nearby sun. Paradise
is surrounded by one billion of these architectural worlds, and this
is one reason that Paradise will always remain invisible to our earthly
eyes, no matter how advanced we may become in peering into the
universes. I think I read somewhere that a tremendous portion of the
universe is actually dark matter – meaning matter that we cannot see
with our telescopes, or except by indirect means.

Executive producer Robert Rodriguez (Grindhouse, Spy Kids) is the driving force behind this energetic reboot of the popular Predator films, which pits the dreadlocked alien hunters against a rogues’ gallery of human antiheroes, led by a bulked-up Adrien Brody. The Oscar winner acquits himself nicely in the role of a gritty mercenary who finds himself stranded on a jungle planet with a host of criminals and professional killers (among them such scene-stealers as Walton Goggins and Danny Trejo), as well as a seemingly innocent doctor, well played by Topher Grace. They’ve been deposited there to serve as living targets for a horde of Predators–whose looks, designed by Gregory Nicotero and Howard Berger, are impressively varied and sleek–that use the planet as their private hunting grounds. Laurence Fishburne is also on hand as a soldier who has managed to survive for years in the jungle; he, Brody, and Grace do much to make the pulpy dialogue by Alex Litvak and Michael Finch (adapting a premise penned by Rodriguez in the mid-’90s) palatable. Likewise, Hungarian director Nimrod Antal (Vacancy) lends a great deal of atmosphere and Rodriguez-style momentum to the picture–perhaps more than necessary, since the end result is, like the 1987 original with Arnold Schwarzenegger, a fun B-movie and nothing more, designed entirely to give moviegoers a slick, unchallenging roller-coaster ride. Having said that, it’s a vast improvement over the 1990 sequel and the dreadful tie-ins with the Alien franchise, and should provide movie monster aficionados with an afternoon’s worth of thrills. –Paul Gaita

The Gameznet Alien Section is currently getting a total rebuild.
This section is content limited although functional at the moment however be aware there will be lots of changes occurning here during the build.
At the moment I do not have an estimated time til completion as it is a rather large job.
I have decided to rebuild each of the Gameznet Special Interest Sections using the wordpress platform because they were imposible to manage as html and the wordpress platform offers many community based features I couldnt posibly build into the sites myself.

This is going to be an interesting venture but should enable each section to be much more community orientated and social.
There are a lot of great features coming to each special interest section so bookmark those that you also share the interest.

UFO Sightings – Keep an Open Mind

Any newcomer to this area of interest and who enters search terms into YouTube or Google such as “UFO sightings”, “Triangular UFO” or “UFO Videos” will be surprised at the large number of results provided. Interest in the phenomena of unidentified flying objects is reaching a peak as more and more sightings are made of large black triangular objects floating silently just a few dozen feet above the ground, steely discs that accelerate from a standstill to several thousand miles and hour in the blink of an eye, and a plethora of strange metallic objects and orbs shedding material. Some videos you will see on YouTube are clearly the work of bored computer whizz-kids using CGI but many are not so clear cut, and often the comments posted by the more knowledgeable viewers will help sort out the real sightings from the fakes.

Interest in the UFO phenomenon has been growing ever since the late forties when stories of strange flying objects accompanying WW2 bombers were circulated and particularly after the press picked up on the account by businessman Kenneth Arnold in 1947 of a formation of nine brightly coloured crescent shaped craft seen from his light aircraft as they flew at speeds in excess of 1200 knots. They were described by Mr. Arnold as flying like saucers skipping across water – and this gave birth to the name flying saucer.

As a result of mankind being naturally war-like and afraid of the unknown, and with Hollywood always seeking to produce more dramatic and scary films, soon flying saucers became the subject of doom-laden and mostly poorly made films presenting flying saucers as the vessels of terrifying invaders from space intending to destroy us and devour our natural resources before moving on to their next victims in a nearby solar system. Many of these films have ranked alongside the lower quality productions in the science fiction and horror film genres resulting today in any attempt at serious discussion about UFOs and extra-terrestrial life being met with sniggers, giggles and derision. So any serious research and scientific study of the UFO phenomena has been very limited in scope.

It is perhaps ironic that millions of dollars of private money and a NASA grant given to SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) results in a search of deep space for signs of intelligent life, while all the time a large piece of the ET jigsaw appears to be silently going about its business right under our noses here on Earth. SETI, perhaps understandably, distances itself from the UFO phenomena, preferring to ignore the hundreds of credible sightings of strange craft by sane and professional people. This denial of the UFO phenomenon reminds the writer of a Christmas pantomine where the lead character is shouting “what?” and “where?” and the audience is shouting “behind you!”.

To accept the argument that alien visitors might just be going about their business here on Earth on a daily basis then we first have to consider the proposition of there actually being other life beyond our own little planet. The vastness of the universe is difficult for we emerging Earthlings to grasp because the numbers are simply too large to visualise. But let us try. Our own galaxy the Milky Way contains between 200 and 400 billion stars and perhaps a trillion planets. Outside our own galaxy there are billions of galaxies each containing billions of stars and trillions of planets. It is plain silly to believe, or prefer to believe, that our little planet is unique in it ability to spawn and harbour life and even if we assume that a miniscule percentage of planets have favourable conditions to life (as we know it) then there must be millions of planets on which intelligent life has developed and flourished – albeit separated by mind boggling distances. It is not within the scope of this article to develop this point further but interested readers should research the Drake Equation.

What are the chances that some of these intelligent life forms have visited us and continue to do so? Firstly, a bit of humility is required. Essentially, when it comes to the universe, its origins, its future, life-starting conditions, alternative life-starting conditions, extra-terrestrial life, and advanced ET technology, then let us be honest with ourselves, we know next to nothing. We have only come along very recently in the life of our planet and our scientific discoveries and developments have only really taken place during the last 300 years or so. What can we know of the technology and abilities of ET civilisations that have won the ability to develop scientifically over periods of thousands or even millions of years?

Sceptics say faster than light travel is not possible because Einstein’s general Theory of Relativity dating from 1915 says so. They say we cannot have been visited simply because of the unimaginable distances involved and even at the theoretical limit of light speed the travelling times are immense and impractical. However Albert Einstein himself had the humility and foresight to recognise that his theory of relativity may one day be overtaken by new discoveries in physics and science and some scientists do question the validity of Einstein’s theory. Just because the emerging Earthlings have not yet worked out a way to overcome Einstein’s theory of relativity it does not mean that significantly more advanced civilisations did not do so long before the dinosaurs were wandering around our own planet.

Even if the speed of light is in fact the cosmic speed limit policed by the laws of physics then it is perhaps worth considering that it is not the distance that is the problem, it is actually the time taken to travel the distance. Here on Earth we relate everything back to our own time references and to our human life span. More advanced civilisations might have resolved the problem of aging, and perhaps even death itself. Their life span may extend into many hundreds of years as a result of their understanding of their own physiology and their environment. Their planet may be as large as our sun and rotate slowly with one of their days being equivalent to hundreds of ours. So their perception of time will be entirely different from our own.

Consequently a trip of say 30 of our years may well be a snip to them because their perception of time and time references are entirely different from ours. Add a bit of hibernation and a little on-board entertainment and they will be exploring our solar system in no time, to them, at all. This time reference theory does not even take into account the possibility of tricks with the space-time continuum, faster-than-light travel or inter-dimensional travel that we are many years away from comprehending.

The upshot of the above points is that we are in no position technologically to discount anything when it comes to the universe, space travel and the capabilities of life forms beyond Earth. We should have a little humility considering our embryonic sciences and keep our minds open when it comes to reported UFO sightings.

Internet Helps UFO Sighting Reports

Since organizations began keeping records in the 1950s, UFO sightings have been increasing each year in America and worldwide. It is not known whether this increase in sightings is due to there being more unidentified flying objects in our skies or rather an increased technology for people to be able to report a UFO sighting. Perhaps it could be a mixture of both.

With the advent of the internet, tracking has improved since with a click of a button anyone can report a UFO online. But even more valuable is the fact that the internet has allowed tens of thousands to post stories, pictures and videos. This wealth of information provides UFO investigators and enthusiasts with the ability to research, compare and add to our knowledge database, which furthers the scientific study of UFOs.

A recent example of how technology has enabled information from different parts of the world and even different times to shed light on similarities of the UFO phenomenon can be found in comparing reports of 3 different sightings of a ring in the sky.

Fort Belvior, Virginia

The first sighting was made in 1953 at Fort Belvior, Virginia. Fifteen witnesses at a U.S. Army military facility spotted a perfectly symmetrical ring or circle in the sky, which was moving quickly. The military’s explanation was that the circle was a smoke ring from an atomic bomb simulation.

Doswell, Virginia

The second ring in the sky sighting was in 2009 at King’s Dominion Amusement Park in Doswell, Virginia. Same characteristics as the 1953 UFO sighting, however, this particular ring hovered in the sky above the park. The amusement park asserted that the smoke ring was caused by one of their rides; however, countless people witnessed the object and were certain it was something not of this world.

Kosovo

The third ring was sighted in 2010 in Kosovo. Authorities mostly assume this ring in the sky is also caused by some sort of smoke, and certainly that argument is very compelling. Yet again, the internet has made it possible to take 3 separate incidents and view their similarities in a way that no other generation has been able to accomplish. These rings have been sighted in multiple countries all over the world, but only in this day and age, do we have the technology to put all the pieces together.

It would be easy to accept the government’s assertion that the 1953 ring was due to smoke, but the fact that multiple sightings, pictures and videos are now available that show these same type of rings are being seen all over the world in non-military locations proves that there is certainly something to investigate.

As researchers are able to document and study incoming data, we draw closer to being able to understand and hopefully one day prove just what these unidentified objects are, where they come from and answer the timeless question: do aliens exist?
